Shooting The Rapids is a technically challenging piece for piano. It contains fast passages and octave jumps. I composed this piece in 2019 after being inspired by listening to music from the Romantic era. This is a piece that I wrote for violin and organ many years ago. Later, I transcribed it to piano and created this arrangement. The name "Skazka" came about when I showed it to pianist Viktor Pellia, who said it sounded like a Russian fairytale.
